Rey Fenix went for a cutter style move out of a backflip off the middle ropes and immediately grabbed the back of his head upon taking the bump from the move. It was said by some in the building in Austin, Texas that the match quickly went to the finish and the focus of those in the ring being on Fenix and checking on if he was alright.

Fans in attendance would go on to state the Fenix did sit up and was moving his hand and feet but was stretchered to the back. The official AAW Twitter, as well as co-owner Danny Daniels, did provide an update on Twitter following the show. Fenix was checked out backstage before being taken to a local hospital for further evaluation.

At the time it was not known what the injury to Fenix could be and we are just all hoping for the best.
