January 3, 2019 Off By Tim Jarrell

Tomorrow night in Wrestle Kingdom 13, the biggest night of the year for New Japan Pro Wrestling. You can say it is their version of WrestleMania. With that today they help the New Japan Fan Fest where all the contract signing for tomorrow’s event took place.

During the contract signing for the IWGP Intercontinental Championship match, Chris Jericho would attempt to up the stakes. Jericho would go on to state that this is the second meeting between himself and Tetsuya Naito. With that, they need to add something to this match. Jericho would then go on to state that he will end Naito’s career tomorrow night and wanted to do so in not just a normal match but in a No Disqualification match.

Naito would go on to make jokes and Jericho would get frustrated throwing his chair out of the ring. Naito would attempt to give Jericho his chair and Jericho threw it as well. Finally, he tried to give Jericho a third chair and again Jericho was not amused. Naito would then state if this is what Jericho wanted then why not. Tetsuya Naito would then write on the contract “NO DQ!!” before signing it.

It looked like Chris Jericho was finally happy, he got what he wanted, but he was not done. Instead of signing the contract he would attack Naito. Young boys would run in to break it up and Jericho would run them off. Jericho would then put Naito through a table before leaving the ring. After getting back to his feet, as Tetsuya Naito was walking to the back he was holding his neck. Now the story of the match is that it is No Disqualification and Naito may not be one hundred percent entering the match.

Wrestle Kingdom 13 starts at 2 am ET/11 pm PT with the pre-show and will air live on both New Japan World and FITE TV.
