We all know that the main event of WrestleMania ended in controversy and we now have a little more information on the ending of the match.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Sapp reports the finish of the match was supposed to be Becky Lynch crucifixing Ronda Rousey but the referee should not have counted the three until Rousey got her shoulders up.

Sapp states that initially there was heat on referee Rod Zapata for counting the three when he did but it quickly dissipated. Monday at RAW, Vince McMahon pulled Zapata aside and the two discussed the situation. It is being reported that Zapata was fined for the mishap.

It was also noted that Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Ronda ROusey all worked over and planned out the match ahead of times with WWE cameras actually filming it. Rousey also had to work the match at WrestleMania with a number of stitches after suffering a cut earlier in the week.

Also, an incident took place on Monday Night RAW in the match between Roode & Gable vs Black & ricochet with referee Dan Engler (formerly Rudy Charles) where Engler ended up being fined as well. That spot was said to be something small, but Vince McMahon wanted to an example.

Finally the report of Rousy “not being happy” after the match is true but it is unclear what she was actually unhappy about as it could have been over a number of things.
