Date Revealed For Next WWE Event In Saudi Arabia

WWE ran two big shows in Saudi Arabia in 2018 with The Greatest Royal Rumble and WWE Crown Jewel and they will return in 2019 with more.

In a report from Fightful.com, they are reporting that WWE will be returning to Saudi Arabia on Friday, May 5th. The location of where in Saudi Arabia has yet to be revealed. This will be one month after WrestleMania 35 and WWE also has Backlash set for May as well. It was also revealed a few months back that WWE would be returning to Saudi Arabia two times in 2019.

WWE back in 2018 signed a reported 10-year partnership with the Saudi General Sports Authority to run big shows in the country. WWE’s first event was the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27, 2018. Then they returned with WWE Crown Jewel on November 2, 2018. Both had specialty concepts to them with “The Greatest Royal Rumble” and the “Best In The World Tournament”.

It is unclear if this next Saudi Arabia show will also have a special concept to it as the previous shows did. It is also unclear if WWE will once again receive backlash from continuing to run events in the country or not like they did get back in November.
