Dasha Fuentes Reportedly Released By The WWEApril 9, 2019
On RAW last night we saw NXT backstage interviewer Sarah Schriber and now it looks like that may be because the main roster is now down on interviewer.
According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet, Satin is reporting that WWE has released Dasha Fuentes. The reason for her release is unclear but it was confirmed that she was in New York over the WrestleMania Weekend.
The 30-year-old Fuentes signed with the WWE and the WWE Performance Center in 2014 originally to be a wrestler only having one live event match before being transitioned to a backstage interview role. This is something WWE has done in the past with talent that they feel are not good enough in the ring but could be an asset on television, most recent they did this with former backstage interviewer Devin Taylor. Even Smackdown Live commentator Byron Saxton was originally signed to the WWE under a developmental wrestler contract before being moved to a non-wrestling role.
Neither Dasha nor WWE have commented on the release of Fuentes and we will keep you updated when more information is available.
