June 5, 2019 0 By Tim Jarrell

Moxley’s first match since leaving WWE and he makes a statement.

During the Best Of The Super Juniors 26 Finals show, Jon Moxley would challenge Juice Robinson for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship. We knew from the start this match was gonna be something different with Robinson took off his cap revealing that he had cut off his signature dreadlocks. This match, that was more of a fight than a match saw both men just throw everything out there.

The two hit each other hard. They fought in the crowd, Robin son was busted open above his left eye. Robinson hit a big seton to Moxley off of the titantron. Juice even put Moxley through a table at ringside. Moxley also used more submissions in this match than has been seen from him in the past.

In the end, the man they called “Death Rider” would hit Robinson with an almost spiked Double Underarm DDT and pin him to become the new champion. It is unclear how much more Moxley will work with New Japan Pro Wrestling as many do think there is a good chance he works this summers G1 Climax tournament.

Also before anyone asks, New Japan Pro Wrestling and All Elite Wrestling are not working together. Just because Moxley is the champion does not mean he would defend the title at Fyter fest against Joey Janela.

Congratulation to the new IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion, “Death Rider” Jon Moxley.
