Another Former NXT & WWE Superstars Debuts For New Japan, Wants Entered In The G1June 9, 2019
A big name in the 2000’s Japan wrestling has returned but in a new home.
Last night at New Japan’s Dominion show we learned that current IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley wants to compete in G1. Another former WWE Superstar also appeared at Dominion and stated that he also wanted to enter into his first G1 Climax tournament.
Katsuyori Shibata came out and when he got halfway down the ramp he stopped and pointed back at the entrance. Out would then come KENTA, former WWE/NXT Superstar Hideo Itami. KENTA has never competed in New Japan Pro Wrestling before. Before signing with WWE he has competed for All Japan Pro Wrestling and Pro Wrestling Noah.

The two would enter the ring and Shibata would declare that KENAT is now here is New Japan Pro Wrestling and he wants in the G1. The G1 Climax is considered the hardest, toughest and most grueling tournament anyone can do in pro wrestling.

The full list of competitors for the 2019 G1 Climax tournament is expected to be revealed early next week. The tournament will take place from July 6 to August 12 with the first night of the tournament taking place in Dallas, Texas. This will be the first time ever any part of the tournament will take place outside of Japan.
