We could be less than a week away from the announcement of where AEW will air starting this fall.
According to a report from Tony Maglio of TheWrap, Maglio reports that a deal for All Elite Wrestling to air weekly on TNT is “virtually done” as a person with knowledge of these plans tell TheWrap exclusively. The plan as of right now is to announce the partnership next Wednesday, May 15. The announcement is reported to happen roughly one hour before the WarnerMedia upfront event at 10am ET from Madison Square Garden.
The reports goes on to state that AEW President Tony Khan and someone his wrestlers are expected to be in attendance at the event.
As of right now it is not clear what day of the week AEW would air on TNT but Tuesday and Thursday may be out of the picture due to TNT’s partnership with the NBA and airing games on TNT. Also, the financial terms of the deal are not expected to be disclosed since AEW is not a publically traded company.
